In order to get more accurate results, our search has the following Google-Type search functionality:
If you use '+' in front of a word, then that word will be present in the search results.
ex: Harry +Potter will return results with the word 'Potter'.
If you use '-' in front of a word, then that word will be absent in the search results.
ex: Harry -Potter will return results without the word 'Potter'.
If you use 'AND' between two words, then both of those words will be present in the search results.
ex: Harry AND Potter will return results with both 'Harry' and 'Potter'.
If you use 'OR' between two words, then bth of those words may or may not be present in the search results.
ex: Harry OR Potter will return results with just 'Harry', results with just 'Potter' and results with both 'Harry' and 'Potter'.
If you use 'NOT' before a word, then that word will be absent in the search results.
ex: Harry NOT Potter will return results without the word 'Potter'.
Placing '""' around words will perform a phrase search. The search results will contain those words in that order.
ex: "Harry Potter" will return any results with 'Harry Potter' in them, but not 'Potter Harry'.
Using '*' in a word will perform a wildcard search. The '*' signifies any number of characters. Searches can not start with a wildcard.
ex: Pot*er will return results with words starting with 'Pot' and ending in 'er'. In this case, 'Potter' will be a match.
Hardback 288 The first edition of "Trek!" gloriously spanned the wild mountains, rainforests and deserts of our incredible planet, revealing how many of its once remote corners are now regularly visited by ordinary travellers - a fact that would have astonished the intrepid explorers of the past. Ranging through six continents, his selection includes: popular but accessible hiking routes, such as the Inca Trail in Peru and the Milford Track in New Zealand; fabulous high-altitude terrain, from Europe's Tour du Mont Blanc to South America's Cordillera Blanca; and, vast awe-inspiring tracts of wilderness, such as the Altai of Mongolia and the Yukon in Canada - all places to enthrall even the most seasoned visitor. In this new, expanded edition he includes day trips into the mountains of the Canary Islands and Madeira, long hikes in the Siemens mountains of Ethiopia, two trips in Jordan around Petra and the Wadi Rum desert, adventures in the rainforest of Papua New Guinea, several long, varied hikes on the Larapinta Trail in Australia's Northern Territory, and Heaphys Track and Keppkers Track, New Zealand - an appealing mix of the easy, the difficult and the truly wild., Should you wish to translate your reading into reality, at the back of this book there is a detailed continent-by-continent reference guide, which sets out all the essential facts you will need to know before you embark on your trip of a lifetime.
